ALTA  MAE  BARDEN  WOODBY – 82 – Retired, American Chain & Cable & Sandy's Beauty Shop
Mrs. Alta Mae Barden Woodby, of Barnesville, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 at her residence. She was born Jan. 8, 1931 to the late Mr. Lowell Maxwell Barden and  Mrs. Iva June Evers Barden.
 She retired from American Chain and Cable as a press line operator and also as a beautician from Sandy's Beauty Shop. She was a member of Rock Springs Church in Milner.
 Mrs. Woodby was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Carrol Lee Woodby, as well as six brothers and two sisters.
 Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn (and Curt) Lamb of Barnesville, Carol (and Jim) Sollenberger of Barnesville, and Cheryl Van Valkenburg of Barnesville; one sister, Alice Batdorf of Tennessee; two granddaughters, Jennifer Hall and Kristy Sue (and Jerry) Minzey; three grandsons, Andy Van Valkenburg, John (and Krystal) Moyer, and Jeff Moyer; five great-grandsons, Jake Moyer, E-4 Jeffery "Possum" (and Haleigh) Moyer, "Little Jerry" Minzey, and Hayden and Matthew Van Valkenburg; six great-granddaughters, Jessica and Jennifer Moyer, Emily Moyer, Miranda Minzey, Kaitlyn Van Valkenburg and Alyssa Lee Woodby; five great-great granddaughters, Lyndsie, Lilliauna, Kyleigh, Kenzi and Kendallynn.
 Funeral services for Mrs. Alta Woodby will be conducted Monday, Oct. 7, 2013,  in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Cameron Shiflett officiating.
 Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Monday, Oct.7,2013
