Ira and Elizabeth Maddux moved to the Red Bone area (Enon Grove) prior to
1840 from Butts County with two of their children, Mary Missouri (later
married Zach Hardegree) and Thomas Franklin. A third child, James G., was
born in 1842 in Heard County. Thomas Franklin married Elizabeth Scott of Cobb County and they had nine children, all born in Heard County: Mary Allena, b. 1867 William S., b. 1869 Ira Anna, b. 1871 Ida D. (Jessie), b. 1872 Mattie E. (Amanda D.), b. 1876 Talula R., b. 1877 Arthur Leroy, b. 1879 Adelaide V., b. 1883 Minnie R., b. 1887 |
