Starting in the year 2010, the regular business meeting of the Society is held 6:30 p.m. every two months, on the second Monday night, namely in January, March, May, July, September, and November at the Historic Courthouse in Buchanan, GA,

Description: (For) the descendants of S.L. Hilton/Abner Rivers Walton. S.L. Hilton was on the building committee of the original Buchannan courthouse. His name is on the front of the courthouse. Abner Rivers Walton was a state Representative from Haralson county and was a member of the secession committee that voted to secede from the union in 1861.
