Mrs. Katherine Trammell was born August 26, 1913 in Floyd County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Henry & Mary Hill.
Mrs. Trammell was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church and until her death was the church's longest living member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Trammell, Sr., two sons, Rudolph and Donald, Sr., two daughters, Mary E. and Eva J. Trammell - a sister, Elizabeth Tyson and three brrothers, Harry, Louis and Clarence Hill.
On Monday, July 18, 1994, Mrs. Katherine Trammell departed this life. She leaves to cherish warm and precious memories: four sons: Walter (Delores) Trammell, Jr., Miami, Florida; Herbert Trammell and Randolph (Edna) Trammell of Rome and Robert (Shirley) Monroe of Calhoun, Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Irene Trammell of Calhoun; aunts, Mrs. Rosa Clark and Mrs. Louise Zimmerman; uncle, Mr. Charles (Skeet) Zimmerman; two cousins, Ms. Theodore Downs and Ms. Willie Mae McCain all of Rome. Twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
