Thomas N. Tolbert Dies Sunday Night; Funeral Wednesday
Thomas Newton Tolbert, well-known retired employee of A.D. Julliard Company and life-long resident of Rome died in a Rome convalescent home Sunday at
10:45 p.m. following several months illness.
Surviving Mr. Tolbert are one son, William Newton Tolbert, of Rome; five daughters, Mrs. Elsa Mae Norman, of Plant City, Fla., Mrs. Bessie Lee Peeler, of
Porterdale, Ga., Mrs. Gladys Bradshaw and Mrs. Myrtle Rickard, both of Rome, and Mrs. Fairy Stager, of Lynn, Mass.; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-
grandchildren. His wife, the former Miss Nora Mae New, died in 1920.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. Warren Nutt, pastor of South Broad Baptist
Church officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Lindale Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Bascom James, Cliff Souder, Tom Parrish, Henry Miller, A.C. Beade, and T. M. Martin.
