Floyd County Obit - Mrs. Lucy F. Proctor

Mrs. Lucy F. Proctor, 91, of 176 Sproull Road, S.E. died Friday evening at a Rome health-care center after a long illness. Mrs. Proctor was born Dec. 20, 1899, in Chattooga County, daughter of the late William Lewis Fowler and Josephine Hefiner Fowler. She had been a longtime resident of Floyd County where she was a member of Dykes Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Grady Proctor in 1960.
Survivors include: two sons, Max Proctor, Rome, and Dr. John Proctor, Cartersville; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Evans, Rome; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Heritage Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. Mikel Garrett and the Rev. Willard Willis officiating. Interment will be at East View Cemetery.
