Former Roman Dead
The body of John M. Pendley, who died at Kleburg, Texas, February 26th and who
was a son of Rev. J. T. Pendley, formerly of Rome, but now of Flovilla, Georgia, was brought here yesterday. The funeral will occur from the residence of H.M. Byars at 2 o'clock this afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. Claude
Hendrix, assisted by Rev. J.G. Hughes. Interment will be in Myrtle Hill
cemetery. Pallbearers will be Messrs. L.G .Todd, Paul Morris, Clyde Byars, and
Hal Vickery. Mr. Pendley was 25 years of age. He lived here at one time and
was employed at the Todd grocery. He is survived by his father and mother, a
brother and six sisters.
