Mr. Nichols

Carl D. Nichols, 62, of 74 Church St., Taylorsville, died Saturday at his residence.
Mr. Nichols was born May 10, 1930, in Floyd County, son of the late Joe Roy Nichols and Leona Brandon Nichols. Before retirement he was employed by First Brand and was a member of the Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Shirley Nichols, Taylorsville; three sons, Tony Lamar Nichols, Rome, Jerry Dewayne Yancey, Adairsville and Eddie Wendell Nichols, Cartersville; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Carlene McBurnette, Scottsdale, Ala., and Mrs. Carla Camille Radford, Taylorsville; four sisters, Mrs. Martha Mormon and Mrs. Mary Ann Barker, both of Spring Creek, Mrs. Mildred Shelly, Kingston, Mrs. Imogene Marbut, Rome; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Freeman Harris Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Garrett and the Rev. Carl Robinson officiating.
Interment will be at Taylorsville Cemetery.
