Mrs. Green
Funeral services for Amoree Burnes Green were at 11 a.m. today at Heritage Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home.
Dr. Gilbert Tucker and Parnick Jennings, Sr. officiated. Interment was at East View Cemetery.
Mrs. Green, 85, of 42 Chateau Drive, died Wednesday at a Rome hospital. She was born Oct. 24, 1901, in Little Texas Valley community, daughter of the late
James Washington Burnes and Iantha Cooper Burnes. She was a long-time resident of Floyd County and Alabama. She was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church
and formerly attended Sand Springs Baptist Church and Northside Park Baptist Church in Atlanta. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Onty
Green, April 3, 1976, to whom she was married Oct. 23, 1927.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
