Mrs. Green, 70, Dies Thursday
Mrs. Alice H. Green, 70, died Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at her residence 412 Harper Avenue,following a lengthy illness.
She had been in failing health for several years and her condition had been serious the past three months. Born in Arkansas, she moved to Floyd County when she was only three years old, and had lived here ever since. She was the widow of the late J. H. Green, who died 11 years ago. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Herman Peace, Mrs. J. W. Adams, Mrs. John H. Carter, all of Rome, and Mrs. Eula Hardeman of Comer, Ga; three sons, Noah Tolbert of Danson, Ala., Owen Tolbert, of Rome, and Dewey Tolbert, of Comer, GA.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Calvary Independent Baptist Church by the Rev. Guy Johnson.
Burial will be in the Beech Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers, who are requested to meet at the residence at l:30 o'clock, will include Buck Autry, Claude, Mark Pressley, Paul Tippin, Dewey Watson and W. J. Johnston.
