Capt. T. B. Gowan is Corpse in Alabama
Deceased formerly lived in Rome and made a large number of friends here
Capt. T. B. Gowan, who formerly lived in Rome, and well known here, died at his
home in Selma Ala., at 7 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The funeral will occur at
that place this afternoon.
Captain Gowan had been ill for two weeks, and his sister, Mrs. Joe Wingfield,
of Rome left for Selma sometime ago to be at his bedside while in Rome.
While in Rome, Capt. Gowan was engaged in the cotton business and made a great
many friends during his residence here.
