Mrs. Gollahon
Mrs. Sara Reeves Gollahon, 59, of 86 Canard Road died Thursday morning at a Rome hospital after an illness of one year.
Mrs. Gollahon was born in Cherokee County, Ala., June 27, 1930, daughter of Inez Minshew Reeves and the late L. Reeves.
She was a member of the Sherwood Forest Baptist Church and had been employed by World Carpets Inc. and by Celanese Corportation. She had been a longtime
resident of Floyd County.
Survivors include: her husband, Mack L. Gollahon, Rome, to whom she was married Nov. 26, 1950; her mother, Rome; four sisters, Doris Marshall, Pat
Williams, Margaret Welch and Fahy Turner, all of Rome; three brothers, Harwell Reeves, Coosa, Wayne Reeves, Franklin, and Steve Reeves, Gastonia, N.C.,
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Talmadge Barnes and the Rev. Bill
Brock officiating. Interment will be at East View Cemetery.
