Mr. Freeman
Thollie Wilson Freeman, 79, of 301 Strand St. died Tuesday at a Rome hospital.
Mr. Freeman, a native of Bartow County, was born Feb. 7, 1907, son of Jeff Freeman and Mary Freeman. Prior to retirement he was co-owner of the Freeman &
Lemming Sheet Metal in Rome. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, the former Jessie Mathis, to whom he was married Dec. 8, 1925; a son Dave Freeman, Rome, two daughters, Mrs. Mary Childers and
Mrs. Carrie Ball, both of Rome, a sister, Mrs. Kathleen Gross, Rome; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dewey Atchley officiating.
Pallbearers are David Childers, Larry Freeman, John Freeman, Martin Ball; Kenneth Ball and Winston Freeman.
