God saw the road was getting rough.
The hills were hard to climb.
He gently closed Henry's eyes
and whispered, "Peace be Thine."

Again the chain has been broken, another link is gone, with the passing of Henry Carlton Ellison on Sunday - January 30, 1994.
He was born on January 7, 1900 to the late Henry C. Ellison and Alice Hill-Ellison. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rosa E. McCain in 1954. He was a veteran of World War I and was employed most of his life as a carpenter.
He was married to Mary Holmes in 1943, who preceded him in death in 1980.
He was a faithful member and Trustee of Provident A.M.E. Church in Memphis, Tennessee until his health declined.
He leaves to rejoice in his having passed this way: two nieces; Willie M. McCain and Theodore M. Downs of Rome; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mattie Baldin, Memphis, Tenn. Two great nieces; Opal E. Ervin, Chicago, IL., Willie R. Hightower, Atlanta; a great-great nephew, Rev. J. Larry Ervin, Rome; six step-grandchildren of Memphis and many friends.
