Mr. Aycock

Joe Bradford Aycock, 76, of 701 Marion Dairy Road, Lindale, died Monday afternoon at a Rome hospital after a short illness.
A native of Floyd County, Mr. Aycock was born May 23, 1913, son of the late Richard Cornelius Aycock and Geneva Avalene Beard Aycock. Mr. Aycock owned and operated Aycock Construction and House Movers Co. and was also associated with A. B. C. Trucking Co. He was a member of Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church, and a member of Oostanaula Chapter No. 113 F&AM and Low Twelve Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Grace Parker Aycock to whom he was married May 14, 1946, a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Ayer, Rome, a son Joseph Alan Aycock, Rome, a brother William Raymond Aycock, Lithia Springs, a half brother Charles Riley; three sisters, Florence Fowler, Ava Lee Horton and Jerry Ann Holder, all of Rome; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Heritage Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. David Coleman and the Rev. James Crabb officiating.
Interment will be at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
