Funeral Notices: Mr. Albert George Aycock

Mr. Albert George Aycock, age 80, of 265 Berryhill Road, NW. Rome, died Friday morning at 7:35 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta.
Mr. Aycock was born in Floyd County on September 21, 1912, the son of the late Dolphus N. and Frances Cleveland White Aycock. He had spent his entire life in Floyd County and was a member of the West Rome United Methodist Church. Prior to his retirement in 1977 he was associated with the Fairbanks Company as an inspector and instructor. He was married on April 8, 1938 to the former Florence Buchanan who survives.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Florence Aycock of Rome; 2 daughters, Mrs. Bobby (Dora Ruth) Brown of Rome and Mrs. John (Libby) Pagura of Warner Robins, GA; 1 son, Ted Aycock of Rome; 3 sisters, Frona Johnson and Mary Blanton, both of Rome, and Sue Corbett of El Paso, TX; a brother, Roger Aycock of Rome; 2 granddaughters, Mrs. Rita Wender of Knoxville, Tennessee and Candice Darlene Aycock of Rome; a grandson, Thomas E. Pilcher, Jr. of Rome; 2 great granddaughters, Ashley Wender of Knoxville and Tiffany Pilcher of Rome.
Funeral Services will be conducted this afternoon at 2:00 from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert M. Skelton officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley North Baptist Cemetery.
The following will serve as active pallbearers and are requested to meet at the funeral home this afternoon at 1:40 p.m.: Bobby Brown, Kelly Hinson, Tom Pilcher, Jr., Joe Beard, Don Burkhalter and John Pagura.
The body will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home where the family received friends Saturday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. At other hours they will be at the residence.
Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
