L.S. (Dooster) Adams, 68, of Shannon, died Saturday night in a Rome hospital
following a sudden illness.
Mr. Adams was born in Bartow County Dec. 12, 1906, but resided much of his life
in Floyd County where he owned and operated a grocery store. He attended the
Baptist Church.

L.S. Adams [Little Solomon]
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Joe M. Griffies of Orange, Texas, Mrs.
Donald Maloney of Shannon and Mrs. Cecil Crowe of Rome; one sister, Mrs. Vadie
Parish of Porterdale; four brothers, William, Archie, and C.J. Adams all of
Toledo, Ohio and Griffin Adams of Rome; two half sisters, Mrs. Lois Welchel and
Mrs. Patsy Sprayberry of Rome, one half brother, Buddy Adams, of Columbus,
Ohio; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Jennings
Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Edens officiating. Interment will be in East
View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Nephews
will serve as pallbearers. Jennings Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
