John Griffin Adams

John Griffin Adams, 81, 129 McGrady Road, died Thursday evening at a Rome health-care center after a long illness.
Mr. Adams was born in Bartow County, April 20, 1904, son of the late U.S. Adams and Lela Worsham Adams. He was a long-time resident of Floyd County and a retired farmer.
Survivors include two sons, Howard C. Adams and Gene Adams, both of Rome; five daughters, Mrs. Judy Bonds, Rome, Mrs. Annie Brownlow, Mrs. Dot Goodwin and Mrs. Janice Ellis, all of Cartersville, Mrs. Patsy Scarbrough, Covington; four brothers, C.J. Adams and Bill Adams, both of Toledo Ohio, Archie Adams, Lima, Ohio, and Buddy Adams, Columbus, Ohio; 25 grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Radio Spring Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Brroks officiating. Gransons will serve as pallbearers.
