Funeral services for Jesse Allen Adams, 57, of Rome, who died Saturday night in an Atlanta Hospital, were held at 2:30 p.m. today at the chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. The Rev. E.S. Morris and the Rev. J.T. Payne officiated. Interment was in the family lot at Oakland Cemetery. Shanklin-Attaway Post No. 5 had charge of gravesides rites.

Jesse A. Adams' Funeral Is Today
Surviving are the widow; father, U.S. Adams, of Rome; one daughter, Mrs. Johnny Walters, of Rome; three sons, C.L. Adams, of Tampa, Fla., James H. Adams, of Dalton and Donald R. Adams, of Marietta; seven brothers, William and Buddy, of Detroit, Mich., Griffin, of Bartow County, L.S. of Rome, Willie, of Chattanooga. Tenn., C.J., of California, Archie, of Lima Ohio; three sisters, Mrs.Vadie Parrish, of Covington, Mrs. Lois Walchel and Miss Patsy Adams, both of Rome; two step-sons, Charles Whittle, Anniston, Ala., and Joe Whittle, Marietta; three step-daughters, Mrs. Lester Turley, of Germany, Mrs. Roy Eaton and Miss Mattie Glois Whittle, Marietta. Nine grandchildren also survive.
