J.M. Adams Dies at 88 J.M. Adams, 88, of 7 Wimpee St, died in a local hospital at 830 o'clock this morning after an illness of six months.
Born in Cartersville, May 9, 1856, he spent most of his life in Rome, and was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1921, and since that time he has made his home with his granddaughter, Mrs. Annie Belle Satterfield. He is survived by a daughter, Amanda Snowden, of Fairfield, Ala., a brother F.B. Adams of Kingston, 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 330 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home. The Rev. H.F. Joyner will officiate, and interment will be in the family cemetery near Spring Creek. Six grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
