Charles Henry Adams, 88, of 110 S. Main Street, Adairsville, died Tuesday in a Rome hospital following several days of
illness. He was born in Bartow County July 6, 1883, son of the late Robert Adams and Becky Fountain Adams and had spent all
of his life in the Barnsley and Adairsville Communities. Adams was a retired employee of Klopman Mills, Shannon Division, and
was a member of the Barnsley United Methodist Church. His wife the former Carrie Bell Reeves, died May 7, 1963. Surviving are
two sons, Timmie W. Adams, Kingston, Rte 1, and A.S. Adams of Adairsville, two daughters, Bronnie Sullins, Rte. 1, Kingston
and Mrs. Bridgett Pelfrey, Adairsville, one brother, George Adams, Kingston Rte. 1; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Barnsley United Methodist Church with the Revs. Don Anderson and
George Seigler officiating. Barton-Jennings Funeral Home has charge of the body.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
