According to Keith Howell, these photos show the location of the Norton Family Cemetery but unfortunately the headstones were reportedly removed and used in the fireplace of an adjacent home around the turn of the last century. A Mr. Lloyd Johnson now owns this property and was kind enough to show Keith the location. At one time Mr. Johnson cleared this area and found 21 depressions, 19 long and 2 short.

Norton Family Cemetery is located on private property at 541 Hwy 314 in Fayette County, GA.
According to information submitted by Mrs. Mary Jeanne Johnson to the Georgia Genealogical Society Quarterly (published 1976 - Vol. 12, No. 3) - there are no headstones or markers. Known to be buried in this cemetery is an Eason child, who died at the age of 2, sometime in the 1880's. Mrs. Nonie Banks of Fayetteville was a sister to this child. Also buried here were Polly & Nazor Norton who were related by marriage to the mother of Mrs. Bessie Roberts (nee Fannie Mae Jackson).
The Norton's daughter, Celie married Bill Jackson - a half brother to Fannie Mae Jackson - and lived on this property known as the Spring Place until around 1886 when they removed to Louisiana with their two children, Dave and Mollie.
