It seems this Bible originally belonged to Nancy and George A F Allen, after George Allen's death, Nancy Allen married George Griffeth. Nancy Allen Griffeth's daughter, Ann Eliza, married William Jasper Jones,Sr. After Ann E Jones' death, William Jasper Jones, Sr married Nancy Coleman, who took up entries in the Bible. George Augustus Jones only surviving child, Lillie Lois Jones, who married Otto W Kranbiel, died without issue. Before her death, she gave this Bible to her cousin's daughter, the great-grandchild of William Jasper Jones and his second wife, Nancy Coleman. My mother gave me this Bible, and I wish to share it with you.
The outer part of the Bible is in terrible condition, with the cover gone, and is missing the New Testament from the 1st Chapter of James, and the first twenty-one chapters of Genesis from the Old Testament. However the Family Pages in the center are intact, and in good condition.
In the possession of Jane Strickland, Gainesville GA
