Anthony b ca 1833 GA.  Several Joseph & Joseph Clark Anthonys came to Wilkes/Elbert area from Virginia and William Augustine Anthony b ca 1810 Wilkes Co and wife Millie Hightower cannot be located in 1830 in GA, AL, MS, LA or TX.  Another man, Dr Joseph Walker Anthony, a planter, b 27 Aug 1801 also lived in Wilkes.  Does anyone know these families and how they are connected?

Richard Elliott - [email protected]  Seeking info on Henry & Scotty BEGGS, both buried Elbert Co as both died on same day 17 May 1978 in Hart Co, but were residents of Elbert Co at time of their deaths. Henry was 32 years old and Scotty was 6.  Were they father and son who died in some kind of accident?

BENNETT- Lightwood Log Creek was the dividing line between Franklin & Wilkes counties, then when Elbert was made in 1790 it was Franklin/Elbert divider.  Our Bennetts were on both sides of that creek from 1793 at least when Benjamin Bennett is on a muster roll. Then getting land, paying taxes & on Poll lists are Jesse, Thomas T., John, John Jr, William, James, Hiram, Cooper, Hardy, Hezekiah . 1811 Jesse apprentices his son John to the hatter trade, 1820 Hardin is deputy sheriff. 
Anyone else working on these Bennetts, reach me at [email protected]  so we can combine resource findings with others working on these.  DNA on some is matching with descendants of the early Jamestown Bennetts.

Researching Edmund Harvey BREWER 6 May 1832 Elbert Co - 18 Sept 1912 Levy Co FL, was in Civil War, FL State Representative in 1865 and m twice.  First m to Rebecca ? and 2d to Sarah Badger DeBruhl.  Edmund may be the son of Edmund Holt Brewer but can find no proof.  He  had a brother John Brewer who  moved to FL with Edmund in 1849 then moved back to GA where he served in the Civil War. Also looking for info on Sackfield Brewer, son of Edmund in the 1600a  Any cousins in GA?

More Information submitted by David Mitchell - Edmund Harvey Brewer was my g-g-grandfather; his daughter Edna was my g-grandmother. He first married Rebecca Walton Smith (from Tennessee), then IRENE DeBruhl (Don't know who Sarah Badger DeB was, mentioned by Natalie.)
I also have a photo of him as an old man, along with a few descriptive paragraphs about him that my g-grandmother wrote in 1959--both of which I'd be willing to provide jpegs of for his descendants.

David Allred - [email protected]  Looking for info on Mary CALVERT and her family.  She was b in Elbert Co 19 Mar 1793 to John and Mary Polly McCurdy Calvert, believed to be from Penn & married there in 1787.  John appears in Deed Book vol 1 with 400 acres purchased in 1790 in what was then Wilkes Co.  Mother, Mary Polly McCurdy may be the dau of David and Agnes [Nancy]Weakley McCurdy.  One or two David McCurdys are in Deed Book vol 1 as well.
