By Excellency James Jackson  Captain General, and commander in chief in and over the said State, and of the Militia thereof
 
TO all to whom these Presents shall come Greetings:
 
Know Ye, That in pursuance of the act for opening the Land-Office, and by virtue of the power in me vested, I have given and granted, and, by these presents in the name and behalf of the said state, do give and grant unto Richard Dunn his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land, containing Seven Hundred and Seventy Eight acres, situate lying and being in the county of Columbia and butting and bounding Southeast by Dunn’s , Thomas Cobb, Wright’s, and Unknown Land, Northwest by Dunn’s and Cobb’s Land and Southwest by Thomas Richard’s Land
 
having such shape, form, and marks, as appear by plat of the same hereunto annexed; Together with all and singular the rights, members, and appurtenances thereof whatsoever, to the said tract or parcel of land belonging, or in any wise appertaining: and also all the estate, right, title, interest, claim and demand, of the state aforesaid, of, in, to, or out of the same; To Have and To Hold the said Tract or Parcel of land, and all and singular the premises aforesaid with their and every of their rights, members, appurtanances unto the said Richard Dunn his heirs and assigns , to his and their own proper use and behoof forever, in fee simple
 
Given under my hand and great seal of the said state, this fifth day of December  in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety  Eight and in the twentythird year of American Independence

Land Grant to Waters Dunn
Richmond Co., GA
April 5, 1790
 
(It is believed that this part of Richmond County later became Columbia County)
 
Georgia
 
To John Walton esqr. County Surveyor for the County of Richmond. You are hereby authorized and required to admeasure and lay out or cause to be admeasured and laid out unto Waters Dunn, a tract of land which shall contain one hundred & twenty acres in the said county of Richmond on the waters of Green Briar Creek, on the head right of himself, Taking Special care that the same has not heretofore been laid out to any person or persons and you are hereby also directed and required to record the plat of the same in your office and transmit a copy thereof together with this warrant to the Surveyor General within three months from this date. Given under our hands this 5th day of April 1790.

Given under my hand  and great seal of the said state, this thirty first  day of October  in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety  Eight and in the twentythird year of American Independence

having such shape, form, and marks, as appear by plat of the same hereunto annexed; Together with all and singular the rights, members, and appurtenances thereof whatsoever, to the said tract or parcel of land belonging, or in any wise appertaining: and also all the estate, right, title, interest, claim and demand, of the state aforesaid, of, in, to, or out of the same; To Have and To Hold the said Tract or Parcel of land, and all and singular the premises aforesaid with their and every of their rights, members, appurtanances unto the said Waters Dunn his heirs and assigns , to his and their own proper use and behoof forever, in fee simple

Know Ye, That in pursuance of the act for opening the Land-Office, and by virtue of the power in me vested, I have given and granted, and, by these presents in the name and behalf of the said state, do give and grant unto WATERS DUNN his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land, containing  twenty three acres, situate lying and being in the county of Columbia  and butting and bounding North East by Wildon’s land South East by Fulbreath’s land and West by Traily land
 
having such shape, form, and marks, as appear by plat of the same hereunto annexed; Together with all and singular the rights, members, and appurtenances thereof whatsoever, to the said tract or parcel of land belonging, or in any wise appertaining: and also all the estate, right, title, interest, claim and demand, of the state aforesaid, of, in, to, or out of the same; To Have and To Hold the said Tract or Parcel of land, and all and singular the premises aforesaid with their and every of their rights, members, appurtenances unto the said Waters Dunn his heirs and assigns , to his and their own proper use and behoof forever, in fee simple
 
Given under my hand and great seal of the said state, this twenty fourth day of September  in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & 01 one and in the Twenty Sixth year of American Independence
