Nathan Crawford Cemetery
Nathan Crawford was a prominent Columbia County physician and land owner. He was born 12 Dec 1775 and was the son of Charles Crawford (RS) and Jane Maxwell Crawford. Nathan completed his medical training and established a practice in upper Columbia County. Around 1800 he married Mary Marshall, daughter of Levi and Sarah Wynne Marshall. Mary had nine children and died in 1826 at the age of 38.. Nathan died on 5 Oct 1861 and left a will in Columbia County that named five of his children (Mary Ann, Sarah Jane, Pamelia, Nathan and Rebecca)
Miss Sarah Jane Crawford (1813-1907) was a daughter and she left an article in "Memoirs of Georgia" about her family.
