Notes: Some maps do not show this cemetery. Some maps indicate its location as near the Old Avary Home Place near the Savannah River. There is reason to believe that in fact there are two Avary cemeteries. {one near the Old Avary Home Place with no evidence of grave markers} This cemetery is surrounded by a three-foot high stacked stonewall. It has steps over the wall to access the gravesites. It is in need of repair. Many markers are buried in earth and debris. Evidence of other graves is apparent. Others buried in this cemetery would most likely be Madison Avary, Mrs. Phoebe Avary, Ambrose J. Avary, Mrs. Sarah {Susan} R. Avary and Ambrose J. Avary, Jr.
