Locations of Cobb County Cemeteries

Cobb County has well in excess of 200 cemeteries.  In an effort to make them easier to locate, we are dividing them by areas of the county.  While most of the information comes from the GNIS servers, we are taking some liberties.  For instance, Blackwell Cemetery is listed as being in Kennesaw.  However, it is on E. Piedmont at Sandy Plains and is adjacent to Sprayberry High School.  It is much closer to the Mountain Park area than it is to Kennesaw.

Additionally, some cemeteries simply no longer exist - they have been moved or lost.  We will make determining and identifying those cemeteries a project in due time.

There are several cemeteries not identified on the GNIS listing.  Many of those not listed are relatively new cemeteries or, in some cases, cemeteries that have been lost until recently.  For the moment, they can be found here.  As mapping locations are identified, they will be moved to the appropriate location.

The Roswell City Cemetery will, eventually, be included in this listing because Roswell is so close to the Mountain Park area and it is believed that many Cobb County residents are buried therein.
