Why?
Milstead resident Frank Smith said it
appeared someone took a jigsaw and cut holes in the Milstead
sign situated at the entrance to the mill village at Sigman
and Milstead Avenue. The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is
investigating the incident, and Holly Bowie, director of
Rockdale County Department of Legal Affairs, said the county
would prosecute if presented with evidence that anyone had
vandalized county property. Anyone with information should
