Ruth Baird Shaw

Ruth Baird grew up in Porterdale. She married Milstead native Charles Shaw and lived in Milstead after Charles returned from the Pacific in World War II until he left for college at Asbury College in Kentucky and then to seminary at Emory University. Ruth later went to college and seminary at Emory.

Ruth's book is currently in it's second printing and will be available at a book signing at Barnes & Noble in August 2004. The book features some of her favorite recipes, her poetry and homilies. These are illustrated with old-fashioned family photos throughout the book.
