Dr Joseph Brown

Dr. Joseph Brown

Dr. Joe Brown spoke at Milstead during the fund raising for the hospital. "With today's modern methods and conveniences, we are able to enjoy more free time than ever before. There are many of us, however, who do not know how to spend our free time away from the job. We doctors will tell you that some people live longer when you know how to relax and enjoy life. Rest, proper diet and exercise, along with sunshine are excellent ways in which to pep up circulation. There are many other ways in which we can spend our free time, so long as we are wise in choosing the right one. They may help to release tension and allow you to enjoy life more abundantly. You people in Milstead are the most fortunate people I know. With the vast recreation program, there is no excuse not to have a good relaxing life.

When the new Rockdale Hospital is finished, it will be a great asset to the health of the people of Milstead and Rockdale County. It will provide services that we have relied on in the Atlanta hospitals. I promise you my efforts in the medical field will be used to help keep you well and happy."

He spent the remainder of his life doing just that. We people of Milstead are indebted to Dr. Brown and his wife who assisted him in his medical endeavors.
