MACEDONIA CHURCH CEMETERY
Located in SW Fulton County, GA, on
Ga Hwy 70, 2 miles SW of Rico, GA
0.3 miles south of the intersection of
Ga Hwy 70 and Capp's Ferry Rd.
| Notes: Survey made December 6, 1997, by
Bill Burdette ([email protected]).
This cemetery was located using a Georgia DOT "General Highway
Map of Fulton County, GA" dated 1966. While the map indicates
the church is on the west side of Hwy 70, no signs of it existed
at the time of the survey other than a level spot in the undergrowth.
The cemetery, located across the highway from the church site,
was also hard to see from the road, even with the leaves and
undergrowth dead. At the time, it was unkept, unfenced, and had
smaller trees growing in some graves. The graves extended almost
up to the highway Right-of-Way. |
