Last Will and Testament of
James M. Hopkins

I Jas. M. Hopkins being of advanced age, but of sound & disposing mind and memory and discretion do make and publish and declare this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other will or wills by me heretofore made.

Item 1st. I desire & direct that all my just debts should be paid, should I owe any at the time of my death, including expenses for a decent and Christian-like burial for myself.

Item 2nd. To my niece Alice Estep who now lives with me and has lived with me so long, I give and bequeath all of my property both real and personal of every kind, including notes, accounts and every species of property that I may own at time of my death in fee simple to be used and disposed of by her as she may see proper and without any limitation whatever.

Item 3rd. I hereby constitute and appoint my said niece Alice Estep executrix of this my last will and testament and I suggest to her that should she need any legal counsel or assistance to call on C. S. Reid for same. Witness my had and seal, this 3rd day of March 1892. Jas. M. Hopkins {seal}

Signed, sealed, declared and published by Jas. M. Hopkins as his last will and testament in the presence of us the undersigned who subscribed our names hereto in the presence of said testator at his special instance and request, and in the presence of each other, he the said testator signing in our presence also. Campbell Court of Ordinary - June Term 1893.

The will of Jas. M. Hopkins being produced in open Court for probate by the Executrix Alice Estep who has filed her petition to prove the same in solemn form, and the witnesses to said will, R. C. Rhodes, J. T. Beckman and C. S. Reid having subscribed the following affidavit endorsed on said will June term 1893 of Campbell Court of Ordinary commits open at this regular term of the Court R.C. Rhodes, J. T. Beckman and C. S. Reid and being duly sworn depose and say that they saw Jas. M. Hopkins sign and publish the within as his last will and testament while of sound and disposing, that they witnessed the same for him at his instance and request, and in his presence and in the presence of each other, he signing in their presence and the same was executed voluntarily by him on the day it purports to have been executed.
