December 1847

Wendsday worked on the road very wet day and very cold.

Thursday worked on the road tired our old black cow had a calf to day. it had been ten months and twenty two dayes since she had her calf before.

Fryday-Worked on the road and went to mill -returned at twelve oclock.

Saterday-went to S.H. M Larty on a visit.

sabath day went over to S.W. M Larty came home in the evening.

Monday Wilson and Hearvy and Green and Sam Wilson hilped me hunt hogs - we kiled fore that made 525 lbs. Pork.

Salted my meat and hunted my hogs.

Hunted hogs to day.

Made a pair of shoes for C.B. M Larty.

Made one pair for Mary.

Made one pair for Robert.

Sabath day at home to day.

Made one pair shoes for Anthony it has been very wet and warm I have had back ake very bad.

Commenced puling corn to day my back hurts me bad yet.

Haled corn to day.

Hunted hogs.

18. Hunted Hogs.

Sabath day went to S.W. M Larty.

Hunted hogs in the morning and went to McKelvys corn shucking.

Helped Maxwell to build his crib and shuck in the evening.

Puled at my corn.

Puled and haled corn.

Haled 15 loads of corn.

Chrismas day John M Larty children, Margaret Ann and Martha, John and Jeames and George and John Morris Sanday and William.

Sabath day at home very cold day and clear.

Went to mill late getting home at night.

Made one pair shoes.

Kiled two hogs and started to Atlanta

Drove into Atlanta and traded - sold wheat at 75 cents flower at 250 bought coffe 11 lbs to the dollar shugar 12 lbs to the dollar salt at 2.00 per sack molasses at 35 cents.

Drove home after night getting home the last day in the year thus ends the year 1847- When this you se remember me and vear me in your mind let all the workd say as the will speake of me as you find.
