Leah Hanks, 1771-1854, married Timothy Hixson, 1775-1857, on 20 Mar 1797. Leah was a daughter of William and Sarah (Rolfe) Hanks. Elmer Karns was a great-great grandson of Timothy and Leah. Timothy and Leah reportedly are buried in the McKendree Methodist Cemetery, Crystal Spring, Pennsylvania.
