Welcome to the FLGenWeb Unknown County Web Site!
Hi, my name is Darrel R. Bell and I will be your host for this unique web site.
As you know Florida has had several counties that are no longer in existent, therefore we have established the Unknown County Genconnect Query Forum Board. However, the unknown doesn't specifically apply to defunct counties. As many have posted info to this query board, they are doing so in hopes another researcher may be able provide information that will assist in pinpointing the specific area for a researchers to focus their attention to.
However, this web site will not be limited to unknown counties. Anyone may submitt information to be posted on this site, providing it meets the existing criteria for submitting information. Queries listed on this page were received for unknown areas of Florida.

When posting Florida queries, please try to submit them only to the County in which they belong. If you have a city name but no county, we have a "locator" link from our main page to assist you in finding the right county.

Your query must mention UNKNOWN COUNTY you post it to or it will be deleted without notice.
When posting your query, include all surnames in the surname box, one surname to a line only and no punctuation so they will be included in a global search. Surnames may be in UPPER or Mixed case.
DO NOT include any characters except a comma ( , ) When posting a response to a query, include ONLY those surnames included in your response. DO NOT post gedcom files... even small ones... to any of the pages.
If you want to receive an email notice if someone posts a response to your query, be sure you complete the email field and place a checkmark in the box just above the "Post Message" button.
If you want to receive an email notice when anything is posted to a particular board, subscribe to that boards email notification list at the bottom of the board. If you later want to unsub from the board list, enter your email address, select unsub, and click on submit address.
If you post a query, and your email address changes later, post a response to your own query giving your new email address, or send an email to the board administrator with a request they edit your query. You need to give them both your old and new email address, and the date of your query with enough info for them to identify it.
Now you are ready to post your Query!
