INTRODUCTION TO DNA PAINTER

DNA Painter is a free website that lets users bring together their DNA matches from multiple testing companies and display them in a graphic format.

This presentation will introduce the site's features and tools for chromosome mapping and relationship prediction. How to paint your matches and tips for sorting them will be discussed.

CHRISTMAS PARTY AND ANNUAL MEETING

The GSOC Christmas Party and Annual Meeting will be held at the Trade Winds restaurant, Niceville, FL, on Thursday, December 12, 2019. Our reservation is for 11:30.

The cost for the luncheon is $14 per person ($16 if you want an optional dessert) and your reservation and money must be provided to Kathie Sheperd by December 8th since she must collect the money in advance and have the exact payment for the luncheon in hand by that date. Individual credit cards are not accepted by the restaurant. All lunches include entree, side salad, bread & dip, and drink (tea/soda). The optional dessert is your choice of either a small cannoli or small piece of tira-misu and it must be ordered and paid for in advance, also.

MENU SELECTION (Pick one choice per person):

CARBONARA. Alfredo sauce (cream sauce) with bacon served over penne pasta.

RAVOLI. Three cheese raviolis, a meatball and Italian Sausage with marinara sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese and oven baked.

CAPRICIOSA PIZZA. Boars Head salami and capocollo meats, artichokes, Kalamata olives, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms.

TOM'S PASTA. Sausage & mushrooms cooked in red wine then tossed with marinara sauce and penne pasta

TURBO SALAD. Salad greens served with an assortment of veggies and topped with a lightly fried chicken breast with our house dressing on the side; balsamic vinaigrette (no other dressing available).

You can make your payment for the luncheon and your indicate your food choice at our September, October, or November meetings. If you mail your payment, it must be mailed by DECEMBER 6.
