The
Jean Calvin Chapter was formed in 1979. The chapter was
named after Jean Cauvin/Calvin (1509-1564) who studied to
be a priest in Paris, France. He earned a Doctorate in
Law. He was influenced by Martin Luther and called for
reforms of the established church. His Calvinistic legacy
has come down into many Protestant denominations
throughout Europe and America. |
