Two things on the Vital Stats discussion:
1. $5 is not much at all. The days of $1 copies is LONG gone. If you order a copy online it's more than that.

2. You get very fast response ordering online using a credit card (on a secured site) using http://www.vitalcheck.com/ which covers the entire US. Go to FLORIDA and you can order directly from Jax. I got my dad's death certificate in 2 days (ordering on a weekend morning, yet) but it costs much more than $5. (If I didn't need it within the week I might have gone a cheaper route, but it was way less than travelling to Pensacola or trying to get one through the funeral home.) (From: Sheila Martin)
