I am working on the RUSSELL EVAN BROCK/MARTHA WHITE line. Rebecca Brock married WILLIAM PAUL CORBIN, while his sister MARY ALICE CORBIN married WILLIAM LAWRENCE RILEY. Their son GEORGE CLIFFORD RILEY married CORA CORBIN (d/o Wm Paul and Rebecca Corbin). Then Coleman RILEY (s/o Geo C. & Cora Riley) married Thelma JACKSON (d/o Thomas George Jackson and Hattie Mae Taylor). THOMAS GEORGE JACKSON was the son of FLOYD H. JACKSON (Bullock Co. AL) and PERMELIA JANIE TURNIPSEED.
Hattie Mae TAYLOR's parents were E. FRANKLIN TAYLOR and EDNA MAE GLOVER. Some of these people lived in Washington Co, and others were in Jackson Co.
I am trying to find the parents of E. WILLIAM RILEY, who was born in SC in 1812. I have only found him in the 1850 census in Calhoun Co. and listed under the name of "Kiley" instead of Riley. He married Betsy Elizabeth Land. I found her in Jackson Co. in 1860 and 1870, then in 1880 census she was in Kemper Co. MS under the name "E. M. Wise". William and Elizabeth had the following children: Harriet b. 1841; William Lawrence, b. 1843; E. Laura, b. 1845, Elias b. 1847. Lastly there was an Owen Riley born in 1853. I have descendants on all but Owen. Completely lost him in MS between 1880 and 1900.

My grandmother Susan Ellen Peacock was married 1n 1876, had two sons, James Mitchell and Walter Hazakiah Peacock and in the 1880 Census of Levy County she is married to a 64 year old Joseph Phelps. What happened to her husband James ? I was told was that he was killed during a storm. True ? I have no idea, nor do I know why and with whom she left Jackson County and rnoved to Levy County with two boys prior to being 20 years old.
I have a printed copy of the 1850 Jackson County Census, but not 1860 or 1870, but Tampa does. I need to look up a couple things and then I will get back to you.
Thank you for your prompt reply. I am going to the Tampa Library this Saturday for a little more information, then I am going to send you information concerning my people that were in Jackson County ( Peacock, Dykes, Sims, Corbitt, etc)

MY great grandmother married James Peacock in 1876 in Jackson County using the name Susan Dykes. The fact is, her mother, Susan Sims, daughter of Charles Sims, married Isham Corbett and Susan Ellen (Ella) was born to this marriage. Sudan Sims Corbett married William H. Dykes as Susan Corbin.

Hi,
I'm so excited...you have a listing of my ggrandfather and mother's marriage...Samuel W Byrd and Margaret M Cook Sept 18, 1879--I have been searching AL records and only recently learned that they may have lived in Graceville! Can you please tell me if any other info is recorded
about them (I don't know their parent's names..I'm especially interested in knowing if Margaret is listed as a Cherokee).

Hope you can help (but you've already helped immensely!)
THANK YOU!
