13 700 719 Pyles, L. G., Louis/Lewis G. Pyles or Piles, the son of Col. Samuel R. Pyles (1788-1837) and his wife Charlotte Wynn.  This same L. G. Pyles was elected Major in the 2nd FL Inf.  As a LT Col, he was wounded at the first battle of Seven Pines, VA and eventually returned to Alachua where he died in 1866 in Archer (according to Masonic records).

Note: I originally transcribed L. G. Pyles as L. G.  Tyler.  I have been corrected and I have corrected my online version. (JP)  You may want to take note that "Others have made this same mistake but listed his name as Tyus/Tyles and other mistaken transcriptions. His brother is on page 48, S. R. Piles with his brother Thomas' and sister Jane's children. (Chas B.)
