For the purposes of this website, a PIONEER is defined as anyone living in the area of Volusia and St. Johns Counties that became Flagler County at the time of or prior to the 1920 Federal Census. You do not have to have been declared a pioneer by the FSGS for your ancestor to be included on this page, you just have to prove they resided here at the of or before Flagler County was enumerated for the 1920 Federal Census. If a Pioneer listed on this page has an associated Family History Narrative, the pioneer's name shall be a link to that page.
Names of residents enumerated in the 1920 Federal Census are being extracted for placement on this page. That list will also be checked against the 1910 and 1900 Federal Census to get an approximation of the length of their residency in Flagler County.
