The next Clearwater Historical Society Fish Fry will be on November 6, 2010,
at Ross Norton Recreation Center.

The general meeting will begin at 11:30 AM.
Serving will begin at 12:00 AM, or as soon thereafter as the fish and grits are ready!
Valet parking will be available.

Who Stole the Fish Fry Jug by Marvin Moore
The fish fry was exciting
Everyone had to pull and tug,
But Teri took the cake
By losing a plastic jug.
It kept the group a-scurrying
Throughout the entire day,
Even though Dean was a-hurrying
To steal the jug away.
Faith is sometimes fickle
When someone pulls the plug,
So Dean finally spent a nickel
And bought a yellow jug.
The story was continuing
'Til our meeting came to order,
Then Dean stole the final ending
With a card that cost a quarter.
A Fine Fish Fry by Marvin Moore
The crew is just arriving
Joe just took all the shade,
The rest of us are striving
to get our vittles made.
The ice tea makers are splashing
the grits are getting cooked,
The servers keep on asking
why they are always getting rooked.
The money takers spend time wondering
why the lines are always long,
The fish fryers all try singing
their sad and off-key song.
The coleslaw is a dripping
all over the kitchen floor,
The cookie eaters are quipping
"Why can't I have some more."
The people are a pushing
to be the first in line,
'Til everyone is gushing
"Ain't these fish frys fine."
