There are two mailing lists for Brevard County, Florida. The FLBREVAR list is for Brevard research. It complements the Brevard GenWeb and the Ancestry/RootsWeb Brevard Message Board.
You can subscribe to the List (you get each message when it is sent) or the Digest (you get a digest in which several messages are bundled together in one when enough are collected).
Note: The List version seems to work best for AOL subscribers and the Digest version for MSN users. Most other ISPs can handle either easily.

In addition, the FL-BREVARD-GENSOC mailing list is available for the discussion of Society activities, resources, and member education for the Brevard Genealogical Society on Florida's Space Coast. The Brevard County Message Board can be used for Queries, to share Genealogical Research, Data, Photos & Maps* and more. It also serves as a Register for Look Up Volunteers.
Message boards are the perfect forum for
finding missing links, and one of the easiest places to record
data. Please -- post what you know to help others, and post queries
so others can help you.
For your convenience, messages posted to the Brevard County Message
Board will be "gatewayed" (copied automagically) to
the FLBREVAR-L mailing list at RootsWeb to give you every possible
opportunity to share information and to find the ancestors you
seek. The following CATEGORIES are included. The default
is Queries.

It is really easy to share your
Brevard Photos & Maps.
Any picture or drawing that has been scanned into your computer can be added to the Message Board. It is recommended that you convert the picture to jpg or gif format and resolution should not exceed 100 dpi. After you type your message simply click on "Add" to select the photo from your computer. Then click on "Submit" to upload it to the Message Board.
**LOOK UP
All of the categories are self
explanatory except LOOK UP. If you have access to Brevard County
records or books that are just TOO big to submit as a post, this
is where you can volunteer to do "Look Ups". Be specific
about what you have and what you will do. This can run the gamut
from checking an index for a name, to getting more detailed information
from the library, or even to going to the Courthouse to look
up records. If you decide to VOLUNTEER, be sure to check the
box to be notified of any response to your message.
If you want to request a LOOK UP, reply to the ORIGINAL message, not a thread.
