I am looking for descendants of Louis Joseph Francis RICHARD. He received a lot of land in Alachua County from the spanish government. Francis moved to the area in the early 1800's from Camden County, Georgia. His children were William Bianne, Francis Jr., Clementine, and John Charles RICHARD. The RICHARD plantation was in Bland, Alachua County.

Researching BOULWARE - PAULLING - PAULDING - Around 1850-860 a family named BOULWARE moved to Waldo head of house hold being Martha {husbands first name I'm looking for}. According to the census report from Fairfeild county S.Carolina 1850 she {Martha} had I believe 7 children oldest to youngest being Anna age 24, Sarah-22 , Benjamin -21 , William -19 , Thomas -17 , Robert -16 and Eliza -12 . Sarah had four children Martha -6 , Falcoln -4 and Henry -1 and a son from a previous marriage or relationship name being Thomas Lewis -8. Falcoln Fox PAULDING moved to the Hawthorn - Cross Creek area and raised a family and sat on the board of county comissioners in Alachua county from 1905-1909 and died in 1931. I need the name of Sarah's husband to make the right connection to my family. in one of her books. Any information you may have that might be helpful in my research would be appreciated greatly.

I am researching my family of HAGUEs. They lived in Newnansville and Hague. John HAGUE (d1836/1840 in Alachua, Fla) was married twice: 1) unknown, they had the following children: John Reuben, Gideon, and James. 2 )Maria, they had the following children: Archelaus, Vicy, Amelia, John Casper. Researching MERCHANT, RICHARDSON, MCCREARY and THOMAS. George S MERCHANT (1856-1913) and wife Sarah RICHARDSON (1864-1943). Harry McCreary MERCHANT 1898-1966; Henry Hamilton McCREARY (Gainesville's first Newspaper Editor and Publisher) married Irene RICHARDSON and their family. I have some info on the MERCHANTs - RICHARDSONs - McCREARY and the THOMAS's that all arrived early in Gainesville. Some of them I have been hitting brick walls with. My Grandfather was Dr Harry McCreary MERCHANT. Thanks.

Seeking any information on Henry (Martin?) HUGGINS, born 2/3/1835 in S.C. (possibly Darlington). Married Nancy Augustine (Steward?) born 6/28/1853. Lived in High Springs area. Children were Elizabeth (born 1872), Joseph (born 1875), Ida (born 1977), Caroline (born 1879), Oswell (born 1888). Nancy Augustine said to have died shortly after birth of Oswell, buried at Traxler Cemetary at Spring Hill Methodis Church in Alachua County. Oswell adopted by TOMPKINS family of that area. Info on any of family would be greatly appreciated.

Seeking any information on William Lovett NIPPER, born May 1844 in Irwin County, GA., died May 18, 1917 in Newberry, Alachua County, FL. Married to Mary Ann Nipper, born Dec. 25, 1842. Their children were William Calvin Nipper (born 1872) in Dooly County, GA. Mary Elizabeth (1865), Evelean (1879), Matilda (1882). William Calvin Nipper married Minnie Viola GRIFFIN.

I am trying to find info on Sarah GORDON CHESSER, born 1807 in NC. She was living in Alachua Co. in 1848. She died in Levy Co. in 1870. She was married to Samuel S. Chesser. Her parents were Rev. Alexander Gordon and Lisha Gordon of Ga. We are trying to gain information as to the maiden name of her mother and the name of her father's father. Also we are trying to find out where in NC that Eliza Gordon Chesser was born.

William L. CARLTON is listed in the 1860 Alachua Co census with wife Susannah (32 b GA). Was Susannah a GRANTHAM - and possibly a sister to John W. GRANTHAM next door? Where are William & Susannah in 1860, 1870? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to locate information about my ancestor, Martha TIDWELL. She married Archelaus HAGUE about 1850 in Alachua, FL. I do not have any information about her family.
