JONES, MARSHALL

I am researching an ancestor, George MARSHALL and his family that were
in FL from about 1828. He was from England. There were three children and
another adult male and and adult female with him on the 1830 Census in
St. John's (North River). We cannot find him on the 1840 Census. In 1831,
we think he married Maria JONES, but we don't know where she came from,
possibly a neighboring county. Thank you.

I am a decendant of the MOTT and HARRISON families, my great grandparents
being Arlina Roslin MOTT (1872-1962) and William Edgar HARRISON (1869-1998).
One of Arlina's brothers was Norman Brentwood MOTT (1875-1925) who had
a general store in Micanopy, Alachua County. Arlina war born at LaCross,
married at Worthington Springs and lived much of her life near Sante Fe.
Her father, William Wallace MOTT was born in Alachua Co.on March 12,1842,
enlisted in the 10th FL Infrantry, Co. F on Dec. 12,1861 and captured at
Richmond,VA April 3,1865. His parents were William C. MOTT and wife Sarah
of Alachua Co. William Edgar HARRISON and Arlina MOTT had only one child,
Ovie Louise HARRISON (1895-1987) who married William Benjamin TRICE, Sr.
Siblings of William Edgar HARRISON are 1)Eliza Sarah Puncheater HARRISON
(b.1857) 2)Charles Henry Griffin HARRISON (b1859) 3) Joseph Eugene HARRISON
(b.1861) 4)Estell Clifford HARRISON (b1864) 5) James English Harrison (1867-1957)
6)Jessie Marion HARRISON (b1872) 7) Mary Ann Matilda HARRISON (b.1875).
Father of the above HARRISON siblings was James E. HARRISON born March
3, 1833 in Florida. James and his brother Asa were listed in the 1850 ALACHUA
census as residing in the Asa and Jane CLARK household, with Clark children
Asa Clark, Jr. and John E. CLARK. I would greatly enjoy corresponding and
sharing information with other decendants of the above families, or those
with knowledge about them. I cannot yet trace my ancestors outside of Alachua
County. Fletcher Lee Trice, 155 Beauregard Lane, Aiken, SC 29803
