<Rig4-away> I'll be back and forth for about 5 minutes.
<PBN> OK
*** chirho sets mode: +o PBN
<PBN> Hi Everyone
*** chirho changes topic to "Coming toward the end :("
<chirho> HI :)
<chirho> Wow did you send some wonderful recipes :)
<PBN> I am lgad you liked them
<chirho> and the Irish Convicts page is growing and growing :) I may need to break it into a couple or three pieces, I'll see when you say it's all in :)
<chirho> Really interesting stuff :)
<PBN> My family grew up on irish cooking
<PBN> Would you like me to make it shorter
<PBN> I was thinking of going right up to the careers of convict descendents
<PBN> I could make that a separate issue.
<PBN> Once I get involved in a subject that interests me I keep on delving
<chirho> Just keep on keeping on :) When you feel you've done what you want with the piece, then we'll make it "webbable"... i.e. break it up if necessary, and such like.
*** Joins: eagel ([email protected])
<PBN> OK
<chirho> Downloads run per minute in Europe, so we may offer them a zip file to download, too!
*** chirho sets mode: +o eagel
<chirho> Hi! Eagel, how's the flying tonight :)
<eagel> busy in these skys over CA
<PBN> The project pages look great. You put them together very well chirho
<PBN> Can we stay on working on things when the term is over
<PBN> i definitely want to stay in the Fian
<eagel> I have goten lost in research Came across some books that don't even have a copyright date but it is the National History of Ireland up till 1852'
*** Rig4-away is now known as Rig4
<PBN> Great!
<eagel> I started out with the idea that I would track migration as it related to religion
<eagel> but I dont think I will have anything but notes for a while.
<PBN> Greatr concept
<Rig4> PBN, your time-line is impressive
<chirho> We'll be glad for whatever you give us, whenever you can :)
<PBN> thank you
<PBN> Sitka did it to
<Rig4> I know but sitka's not here yet :)
<chirho> Eagel, the Scotch Irish list is a great source of information,
<PBN> I think she goes to a meeting first
<chirho> and I have some of Rev Edward Andrews stuff at
<chirho> http://www.geocities.com/~hoseahouse/genealogy/scotcult.html

<eagel> LOL Just spoke of that Rig
<eagel> Am learning alot but still just to the research point
<Rig4> oops, been away from the puter a bit.....I'll go back and read ;)
<eagel> LOL I understand
<chirho> So far CelticKnot and PBN seem to be having a race as to who can send in the greatest number of words ;) hehehe... it's grand, it is :)
<eagel> But some of these names in here and the pictures are still intack eventhough the pages are crumbling
<PBN> We have to keep you busy
<eagel> even hard to make copies
<Rig4> brb
<eagel> I am going to try to scan some later
<chirho> eagel, it really sounds intriguing :)
<eagel> I love it
<chirho> PBN, you don't pay me enough to quit my day job yet, tho ;)
<eagel> I had said I was not going to do anything I couldnt do online(time constraints) But coming across these books has peaked my interest in books again
<PBN> I'm working on it
<eagel> especially old ones
<chirho> That's really great eagel :)
<PBN> I have an original edition of emmett's speeches
<PBN> I am almost frightened to read it
<chirho> Love books, have given away several libraries worth already!! DH tries to keep me out of bookstores, esp used books. :)
<PBN> I can relate to that
<chirho> can't move around in my "office" for all the piles of books :)
<Rig4> back
<PBN> Books are very expensive in Aust.
<Rig4> hubby BBQ'd hamburger...I just got home from work :)

<echos> :)
<PBN> In Ireland?

<chirho> rich text form and text
<sitka> ahhhhhhhh
<PBN> Pictures take a long tome to send
<sitka> corky, are your pics going to be on the page?
<chirho> corky, ideal would be jpeg or gif... as attachments, one per
<chirho> email, with notes in email
<sitka> yah...don't make her make a page :):):):)
<chirho> yep, sure will, I will, yep
<corky> chirho - will work on it this weekend and send pics as jpeg and words as rtf or text, separately (numbers in text to refer to pics).
<chirho> WONDERFUL :)

<sitka> guess what???????
<chirho> When Vu announces next signups, I hope it will be offered :)
<PBN> Is Marthe doing a senior genealogy next term
<corky> is there going to be another intermediate or advanced genealogy class??

<chirho> Practical Internet Genealogy
<sitka> hmmmmmmmmmsounds good!
<chirho> That's why we've got pigs on the logs :)
<PBN> Yes Spain and U.S.A.

<sitka> swat
<corky> 11 hour flight does things to yor mind
<chirho> hehehehe
<echos> I've been there corky
<PBN> how was the weather in Ireland Soft1
<sitka> my mind is already warped...wonder what will happen to it after a 11 hour flight?

<PBN> what about?
<echos> our phone lines are soggy ...big problems
<chirho> ???? move to rootsweb.com ????
<sitka> how will that help?
<chirho> ????? start a bookshop to benefit rootsweb ????
<chirho> moving off of geocities would get us into the big search engines like Yahoo
<sitka> should have CD's in it too...
<echos> sounds good but work for you???
<PBN> Is that a big advantage to us
<chirho> could leave the archives on geocities and do bookshop there.
<sitka> one of my updates on MSN said geocities was one of the best!!!!
<chirho> PBN, getting on yahoo would help us get known :)
<PBN> That would be good
<echos> a real, advantage
<sitka> I thought we alread were:):):):)
<chirho> also, I pay on geocities so we don't have popup adds
<corky> love the names Dubliners gave their statues - Molly Malone is the "tart with a cart" - Anna Livia fountain/statue is "floozie in the jacuzzi" and two ladies shopping is "2 hags with bags"
<chirho> heheheheheh
<sitka> Dubliners did that???????
<echos> <g>
<eagel> I like geocities It is the only place I have never had any problems. Unlike Fortune Cities. I also like tripod cause they have directories
<sitka> sounds too modern for them!!
<PBN> That is why the Aussies are so flippant. Like their ancestors
<echos> I like angelfire too
<sitka> amen
<corky> yep!
<sitka> that amen was for you PBN

<possum> Today is nice. A little warm in the 80's.
<chirho> :) Hi all :)
<PBN> Hi chirho
<chirho> ops, please
<PBN> How is the big move to rootsweb going?
<possum> We have had some fairly hot days but the temperatures have not gone above the mid 90's
<chirho> We're all done!!! :) :)
<chirho> http://www.rootsweb/~fianna/
<PBN> It is about 80 this morning, winter next week
<chirho> possum, ops, please! :)
<possum> Well the page is already attracting queries chirho ...
<chirho> ????
<possum> I have gotten some.
*** possum sets mode: +o chirho
<chirho> :) Thanks
<PBN> I am letting Janet Reakes and a few other Genies and societies know about us
*** chirho changes topic to "Group Meeting"
<chirho> :)
<PBN> how are the projects going chirho
<PBN> I like the convict page
<chirho> Think all that's in are coded and up...
<PBN> that's great.
<chirho> Just finished uploading Corky's tour of the Easter Rising
<chirho> Places
<chirho> :)
<chirho> Really neat stuff she sent :)
<PBN> Must have a look at it
<chirho> Cappagh's starting to send in some pics from HER trip
<chirho> https://sites.rootsweb.com/~fianna/history/east1916c.html click on the first (picture 1) and take the tour :)
<PBN> It really is very exciting
<PBN> Everyone must still be recovering from Memorial Day
<possum> Yes it is exciting Pictures
<possum> Really great pictures chirho
<chirho> Corky took 'em
<possum> You and Corky did a grat job.
<chirho> and she wrote the captions...
<chirho> :) :)
<possum> What kind of scanner do you have or did Corky send CD??
<possum> I don't think I have seen a picture of the four courts on the web!!!
<PBN> It looks like all the junk mail re Diane has died down
<chirho> Corky sent pictures via email :)
<chirho> Cappagh's doing the same
<PBN> Did they take a long time to come through
<chirho> SLLLLOOOOOWWWWW download! But got here safe and sound :)
<PBN> Barry has a new scanner but they are so slowwwww with pictures
<possum> really the pictures are loading very rapidly :)
<PBN> What programme do you use for it
<possum> Gee chirho this is very cool. I keep worrying that we might repeat stuff that is available elsewhere with so much Irish material on the web, but I haven't seen anything like the "tour"
<PBN> We will become a very popular reference for Ireland
<possum> The picture of Dublin castle is great!!!
<chirho> There are some tours, but they are mainly scenic stuff.. don't elucidate history, etc..
<chirho> GENUKI thinks so, too, PBN. Especially when I finish my project on the counties. :)
<PBN> That will be great.

<Peg> Nice to see you.
<possum> tower of london sturbridge village...
<chirho> :) :) Hope Corky likes it!
<chirho> Peg, we're looking at what I just uploaded... Corky sent a tour of the places connected with the Easter Rising
<PBN> She is sure to
<possum> And as I said it is really loading rapidly
<possum> That is the worst thing about virtual tours
<chirho> https://sites.rootsweb.com/~fianna/history/1916-1.html is the first of eight pages :)
<Peg> thanks, I'll go too
<possum> Some of them take sooo long to load!!
<chirho> Possum, that's why I did it the way I did, one or two to a page... and a page without pics for the blind.
<possum> Love virtual tours though since I never get to go anywhere :(
<PBN> Poor possum
<chirho> possum, maybe next year we'll ALL go... a FIANNA trip! hehehe
<possum> hehehe is right chirho.
<Peg> Wouldn't that be fun!!
<PBN> worth thinking about
<possum> all the links are working....
<PBN> I sent a copy of the Time-line to one of Barry's cousins in Co. Donegal. She doe not have a comp
<possum> Gee whiz I am done already...
<chirho> Keep checking!
<chirho> Poor possum :) Maybe we'll be able to hae more tours in the future :)
<possum> Chirho you are becoming a STELLar WEBMASTER!!!!
<PBN> This cousin is a gaelic scholar and is a great historian. She could be quite helpful
* possum gives a big hug to chirho
<PBN> Clever chirho(:
<possum> Corky deserves a big hug tooo!!!!!
<Peg> OH, this tour looks great! Thanks.
<chirho> Cleverer Corky to think of it and take such wonderful pics :)
<PBN> Lucky Corky to be in Ireland
<Peg> I wish I could join Corky.
<possum> Me too Peg :)
<chirho> possum, you went to all 8 and they worked? The server's down now... :(
<possum> Oh dear chirho let me see
<possum> Hey you're right
<Peg> Same here....server down
<PBN> Have we lost chirho
<chirho> I'm here
<possum> well the links worked but I went straight through
<PBN> Good. we need you
<chirho> :) Good. The server will be back later :)
<possum> I didn't try the return to Easter Rising Page on Each page
<chirho> I did try it, and they were cut and pasted
<possum> return to Easter rising LINK on each page... sorry
<chirho> possum, cut and pasted that... so if one works, they all do
<chirho> :)
<Peg> that worked
<possum> return links on each page are a good idea
<possum> Some ppl don't do that for some reason
<possum> small crowd tonight!!!
<chirho> one of our goals :) Also no background color, just a wallpaper background... also all font changes made in proportional language so folks who have eye troubles still get the effect.. also quick loading for the folks who pay by the minute, and so on! Working on it all...
<PBN> We pay by the minute in Australia
<Peg> That is difficult...
<PBN> expensive.
<possum> good idea chirho
<PBN> How was the feedback re: the Bookstores
<possum> some wallpaper is beautiful but is so busy it is impossible to read text!!
<chirho> Several were quite negative.
<PBN> why?
<chirho> GenTree is using Amazon.com.... so we shouldn't use it. And rootsweb says "no"... so looks like a no-go
<PBN> OK
<chirho> PBN, what do you think of your Convicts page?... shall we try to break it down, or leave it lllloooonnng :)
<possum> chirho
<possum> Will try to have project done by Friday if all goes well
<possum> sorry to be so slow!!!
<chirho> :) possum :)
<PBN> I will leave that up to you chirho
<possum> busy time on farms
<chirho> how's the dust on your light box coming, possum?
<chirho> hehehehe
<possum> teehee
<possum> light box still covered with photos chirho.
<Peg> Ok, I'm playing dumb...what's a light box?
<Peg> oh, that kind..like David has.
<chirho> WGW has a MARVELOUS map of IRL with the elevations color coded, major roads and such... but in Geocities :(
<PBN> I will do the next part re success and failure of convicts, later. i need a lot more research
<possum> I felt bad aboput them laying in all that dusthehehe...
<possum> so I put them in archival sleeves
<PBN> You are clever possum
<possum> I just took the day off and put them in
<Peg> Did you look at Marthe's url for the day?
<Peg> Looks interesting re: photos
<possum> I told Bruce Daddy and Mama"s pictures are all getting covered with dust..
<chirho> Didn't get email since morning...
<PBN> Could I make the continuation my project for next term.
<possum> Course they have all been jammed in boxes for years..
<possum> Some in the same boxes they came from deceased relatives homes in...
<chirho> :) PBN :) why not!
<chirho> possum, did you see our page on preserving photos and such?
<PBN> I have photos in every conceivable cupboard.
<Peg> possum, lucky you.
<possum> I kept meaning to send that URL to Marthe
<Peg> I only have a few old family photos.
<PBN> Thanks chirho. I will start working on it.
<possum> I have belonged to PhotoGen for a long time
<PBN> What is that?
<possum> It would be nice if some more would join..
<possum> Not a lot of mail...
<Peg> I'll take a look at it (and tell David to, he is a photographer)
<possum> Less than Fianna even
<PBN> Doe it have a URL possum
<possum> I say even and we have been very active lately isn't that great!!
<chirho> folks, I think we got a big influx from the IrelandGenWeb..
<possum> Me too
<possum> And that is good
<chirho> so we're not a little family list any more
<Peg> That's always nice.
<chirho> Though I think we can still be a family on it. :)
<PBN> I think we are worth more exposure.
<chirho> Has anyone joined the Shamrock-L ?
<possum> but I wish they would leave Ireland GenWEb troubles off the Fianna list!!!
<possum> http://abell.austinc.edu/dag/
<PBN> What is Shamrock-l
<Peg> Where is the Shamrock-L
<chirho> Cloudy told em it wouldn't be tolerated any more at all. :)
<possum> You have probaly all seen this site. It is rather an Internet Classic
<chirho> Shamrock-L is Maura's new list... part of the GenTree thing that's taken over from Diana..
<possum> But if you haven't take a look
<possum> It is very cool
<chirho> Is there any other BUSINESS for this meeting?
<PBN> I haven't got any
<possum> I keep meaning to send URL to Marthe but as she said in the timeline lesson she can't post every old phot site on the web....
<chirho> hehehe
<possum> Sorry chirho
<chirho> s'k

<PBN> Hi! everyone
<chirho> :)
<echos> hi :]
<chirho> PBN, those recipes are wonderful :)
<PBN> Glad youliked them
<PBN> We will end up with a good cookery selection
<chirho> :p licking my chops :)
<PBN> I'll have to end up with Irish Coffee
<chirho> Can't upload til the hardware upgrade at rootsweb is finished.
<PBN> How long will it take?
<chirho> Also have a set of grand URL's from the Library and Archive follks... just a few, but each goes to a mega link page :)
<PBN> the irish tour was geat
<chirho> Last word from Brian L. was that he'd be done Friday night or Saturday.. really putting in some high power stuff :)
<echos> What is the number before our names 19:15 etc???
<PBN> wonderful(:
<chirho> echos, you have the time-stamp on.
<echos> oh :)
<chirho> you can change it in your preferences.
<PBN> Did you get the last irish convicts that i sent you last week Chirho?
<chirho> Yes, and posted it, I thought?
<PBN> No there was one after the last one i saw posted.
<echos> thanks -are convicts the same as exiles???
<PBN> I think i sent it on friday Aus time
<PBN> No they were enforced exiles
<echos> ok
<chirho> PBN - Australians generally, and particularly Irish-Australians, remembered the sort of thing that was done to Paddy Galven and to thousands like him. "I'll fight but not surrender"said the anonymous, but clearly Irish-Australian Wild Colonial Boy
<chirho> ???
<chirho> Is that the end?
<PBN> no i think there was one ending with a couple of convicts mentioned Charle conlan an ancestor of mione
<PBN> I will resend it to you anyhow.
<PBN> I will do a conclusion next term--- Success and failures etc. But it will take some research
<chirho> Thank you :)
<echos> our FW was a bit of a fizzle !!!
<PBN> what is FW
<echos> I did some stuff but Fian Write
<echos> :)
<chirho> echos, it was a good start :) If you try again next term, you'll probably do better, you'll understand the process more.
<PBN> Do we have to enroll for Fianna again next term?
<PBN> Or are we already in
<chirho> :) Want to be here? I'll make you here...
<PBN> For sure!);
<MCW> I do want to be here too
<chirho> We ususally re-enroll, just so I know who wants to be here
<PBN> Count me as re-emrolled
<echos> I'll be back in fall
<chirho> but can send out a MOTD asking for folks who want to be in on the A-PIG class ;)
<PBN> I will be away for August and one week of September
<PBN> In U.s. and Spain
<PBN> Is the A-Pig class next term or the one after
<echos> Well ...I never know for sure what I'll be doing, retired Hubby :)
<chirho> Don't know yet :) Marthe said she had reasons to go either way
<PBN> I hope it is the following term
<possum> classes are supposed to be up June 8
<chirho> :)
<PBN> Oh good
<possum> Awww PBN I'll be bored with no online gen class
<echos> I don't know how I'll be able to stay away ...kind of a habit by now :))))
<chirho> possum, you can get that light box dusted off! ;)
<PBN> I know. I will have to get someone to download them forme while I am away
<possum> Does anyone have any idea what the summer classes are going to be??
<chirho> Not yet...
<possum> teehee
<PBN> I can work on my project before I go away
<possum> I sear I will clean off light box!!
<chirho> :)
<chirho> hehehehe
<PBN> Good Girl);
<possum> Have no idea what i will do with photos...
<PBN> Frame them
<chirho> Put in archival box
<possum> They need to be "fixed" PBN
<PBN> i have bage of photos in cupboard
<echos> mmmm ...raining out & bread baking here. Sure smells good too :))))
<PBN> Are the projects all in yet?
<chirho> Question, do we want to continue to stop in here, even when classes are out?
<PBN> Yes
<possum> well I do have them in archival sheet protectors..
<echos> when I'm home
<possum> Actually they are probably deteriorating less than in a box at my folks
<PBN> I think it good to keep in touch. We could see if w could help you in any way
<possum> Besides they are keeping the lightbox dust free hehehe..
<possum> yes chirho let's...
<chirho> Maybe won't post logs for "off season" chats?
<echos> ok
<chirho> Maybe someone could get a guest speaker and drum it up?
<PBN> No real need to!
<possum> Actually it is easier to work on projects and things when VU is not in full swing.
<PBN> Logs I mean
<possum> No lessons..
<chirho> too true, possum
<echos> you are right there !!
<possum> I tend to get really involved in marthe's lessons..
<PBN> They interfere with research
<possum> I really love the atlas and timeline ones...
<echos> marthe's maps are wonderful lesson 7
<chirho> yep :)
<PBN> I can't believe the course is over barring exams
<chirho> sigh... sigh
<possum> Yes marthe's classes really fly don't they???
<echos> ???
<chirho> too fast!
<echos> overbarring exams ??
<PBN> Lesson 8 was tooooo organised for me. i love my scraps of paper
<chirho> echos, over class ending
<echos> ok :0
<echos> :0
<echos> oops finger stuck :)
<chirho> Okay, we're planning maps, PBN's working on more stuff.. what else do we want to try to work on :)

<PBN> Hi Rig4
<chirho> Hi, Rig... we're planning to keep y ou working :)
<echos> ouch
<Rig4> ohhh, really.....
<Rig4> how's this?
<chirho> Folks want to keep meeting here even between classes (but no logs) and start working on next term's projects :)
<Rig4> hmmmm.....
<chirho> Guess you'll have to keep leading us during the interim :)
<Rig4> sounds good.....I can't promise that I can make all meetings
<echos> Our fearless leader ...rah rah rah

<Rig4> tonight I had to cover plants in the garden....they're predicting 20-32 degrees tonight that's why I'm late, just finished

<PBN> I love the heat.
<Sunny> Hi everyone glad you're still here
<possum> An email (probably with a file attachment has clogged your box!!0
<chirho> We've decided to continue to meet after term :)
<possum> Sorry MCW...
<echos> possum ...my copy & paste goes to qqqqqqqqqqqq.qqqqqqqqqqqq when I try to past into e-mail, suggestions???
<MCW> :-(
<possum> I am talking to you not PBN....
<Rig4> I had the same problem over and over and over.......what I did (I was in with tech support at the end about every third day) was, I downloaded Netscape and set it up.....now when OE locks up and I get all those messages over and over....I switch over to netscape download the messages so email is empty and everything works fine
<chirho> And you can get Eudora Light for free and do the same thing :)
<possum> It seems to be aproblem everyone has...
<PBN> We don't seem to have much trouble with Netscape
<echos> In Netscape you set get mail to 60 min and it will solve problem
<MCW> I cant get netscape set up for mail either It doesnt like the stmp and pop info I got from msn
<possum> We used to have to have Gayla and Wes at the ISP fix it, but Bruce has figured out how to fix it from here>>>
<Rig4> also, I found out that my ISP had also changed my email addy from far@ abercrombie.polaristel.net to [email protected] most of my messages were jamming
<chirho> MCW, you're locked in with Microsoft on MSN... suggest you consider other ISP :)
<MCW> any one in particular?
<possum> I will write with complete explanation tomorrow!!!
<Rig4> I'm still receiving messages from both addys, and still have occ. problems
<Rig4> but nothing like b/4
<chirho> MCW, I ended up happy on prodigy.net. Joined prodigy.com first, in order to get the BB's and other good genealogy stuff, and then got the ...net as well, all for 19.95/mo. Then I paid for a year and so it's only 15.95/mo :)
<MCW> unlimited etc?
<chirho> Yep :)
<PBN> I lost my FTM this week, had to re-install the program
<MCW> ok I will also have to remember to change it on all my pages too
<chirho> They start you off with MSIE4 now, but I just put netscape in and it works well..
<MCW> I know I am going to forget that
<Rig4> Oh, yes, I almost forgot to tell you all my neat stuff that happened to me this past week....
<chirho> ?:)
<Rig4> One of the people that I'm working with knows I'm working on Ireland "stuff"
<chirho> MCW, the log will be up by the weekend after Brian L finishes the hardware upgrade on rootsweb
<MCW> I logged
<chirho> :)
<chirho> Excuse me, Rig.. keep on :)
-> [chirho] PING
<echos> yes ...keep on
<Rig4> Weeellll, this last week she came to work with the following books: Dubliners by James Joyce, Irish Saints by Robert Reilly, How the Irish saved Civilization by Thomas Cahill, Modern Ireland 1600-1972 by R.F. Foster, and the World of Celts by Simon James
<Rig4> she just gave them ALL to me
<chirho> :) :) :) WOW
<echos> lucky you ...wow
<PBN> I have the thomas cahill book . it is very good.
<Rig4> she wouldn't take anything for them
<possum> Cahill book is great.
<PBN> You will have plenty of readong to do
<Rig4> I was thinking the Modern Ireland one can help us more with the timeline
<PBN> Great
<chirho> :)
<possum> Dh gave me book a while ago. I thought maybe it was one of those Irish coffee table books..
<Rig4> I've seen a few of them in the stores, but I've been too cheap to purchase them
<possum> You know cute Irish sayings etc.
<PBN> My son in SFO had a look at the timeline the other day. Hesaid he had the best history lesson ever
<echos> it was really great !!!
<possum> when I joined Fianna someone mentioned book so I remembered I had a copy nad dug it out and read it..
<PBN> People don't realise what a cultured and educated race the irish are
<possum> Cahill is aan excellent scholar..
<Rig4> I don't know how any of us can top the one you did, PBN, but I thought maybe we might find something
<possum> Very leaned book but not boring>>
<chirho> :)
<PBN> My son sent me the cahill book for mother's day
<Rig4> I figured right now I don't have time to read....but in July look out :)
<chirho> (and a copy sits, unopened, in one of the piles on chirho's desk :)
<echos> :((((
<Rig4> :) I know that situation too, chirrho
<PBN> Poor chirho);
<echos> I'm glad I'm not the onlyone w/piles :)
<chirho> Sunny, aren't you the one who did the GREAT URL's for libraries :)
<PBN> piles and piles
<Sunny> I had help from rm or patches, I lost my sheet with nicks in in one of my piles
<MCW> I have 4 books going at once but I am reading them together and switch after each bit of history they talk about It is interesting the different perspectives they each have
<Rig4> since I'm late I'm probably asking questions over again.....did everyone here get thier projects into chirho
<echos> I did
<Sunny> I sent my URL's for libraries yesterday
<possum> Guys it has been fun, but I have to go. Just finished and mailed off ICQ final before I came, but I still have my project for Fianna and for writing family history to finish. I want to get those done so chirho won't be innundated at the last minute!!
<chirho> Sunny - it's really good! Each of those URL's goes to a mega URL page, and they're all grand :) It's all coded up and ready to post when the hardware upgrade at rootsweb is finished this weekend :)
<PBN> I am looking forward to seeing them
<chirho> :) possum Glad you came by :)
<echos> bye now
<Sunny> I should go too my son wants to bury a time capsule

<corky> as long as you got them
<Rig4> ohhh my mistake.....its webmaster
<chirho> rootsweb is doing server upgrade and asked hosts to hold off til they're done
<chirho> So Thur class with Marthe on webmaster #rootsclass ?
<MCW> or greennet or wiregrass
<MCW> I get there(when I can) on greennet
<Rig4> yep....the normal vu server is webmaster (correct?) it's been a long day
<corky> need feedback - do we want narrative and pics on our pages that are not "genealogy"? Reason - I can do "tour" of Dublin City but it will not really be strictly genealogy OR I can do a strictly genealogy related tour. ???
<chirho> Right, Rig
<MCW> yes Rig
<chirho> BOTH!! Corky :)
<Rig4> that one works too MCW
<corky> chirho - greedy
<MCW> yes works for me
<chirho> hehehehe :)
<corky> ok - will work on it
<chirho> :)
<Rig4> there's about 6-8 different servers you can use
<echos> glad I ask :]]]]
<corky> re Northern Ireland - many of same pics I was going to use are on NI tourist board site, can't see duplicating their effort. What do you think?
<chirho> corky, do something anyhow, tourist board will change :( and Fianna will grow :)
<MCW> I think you should have them also
<MCW> not everyone will see the others
<corky> boy are you greedddddddy!
<Rig4> if you don't use the pics, make sure you put in the URL and explain why
<corky> am working on shrinking pics
<PBN> Do we have anything else to discuss?
<corky> also will send fewer at a time and label better :)
<chirho> The ones for Dublin were fine, corky, don't need to shrink :)
