Will of Jonas Karkeeke 12th May 1738

 

Know all men by these presents that we Mary Karkeete of the parish of Ruan Lanihorne in the County of Cornwall widow James Blamey of p’ish of Ruan Lanihorne in said County yeom John Muoth of p’ish of Warleggan in said County yeoman are held and firmly bound unto the worshipful George Allanson Elk Master of arts Archdeacon of the Archdeanconry of Cornwall lawfully constituted in the sume of one hundred pounds of good lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid to the said George Allanson or to his certain attorney his Execes Admes or assignes to which payment well and true to be made we oblige ourselves each of us by himself herself fore the whole our and each and every of our heirs Execes and Admes firmly by these presents sealed with our seal dated the first of the day of May in this eleventh year of the reign of our Soveraign Lord George the second by the grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth and in year of our Lord 1732

 

The Condition of this Obligation is such that if the above bound on Mary Karkeete the widow Relict and the ministratri of all and singular the goods Chattles Credits of one Jonas Karkeete late of Ruan Lanihorne aboves Dec’ed doe make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the Goods Rights Credits Chatteles of the said dec’ed which have or shall come to the hands possession of any person or persons for her and the same soe made due exhite or cause to exhited into the Registry of the Archdeanconry of Cornwall at or before the last day of August ue Ensuing and the same Goods Chattles any Credits and all other his Goods Chattles and Credits of the said dec’ed at the time of his Death which at any time of or shall come to the hands or possession of the said Mary Karkeete or into the hands passion of any other person or persons for her doe well and truly administer according to Law and farther doe make or cause to be made a true just account of her said admio’n at or before the last day of January and all the Rest Residue of the said Goods Chattles and Credits which shall be found remaining upon the said Administrators account the said being first Examined allowed of by the Judge or Judges for the time being of the said Court shall deliver pay unto such person or persons respectively as this Judge or Judges by his or their decree or sentence pursueant to the true intent meaning of a Late Act of Parliament made in the two and twenyeth three and twentieth years of the Reign of our late Soverign Lord King Charles the Second (intitued and act for ye better Settling of Intestates Estates shall limit and appoint if it shall thereafter appear that any last will testam’ was made by the said Dec’ed and the Exec’or Execes therein named due Exhite the same in the said Court making request to have it allowed approved accordingly if the said Mary Karkeete above bounden being thereunto registered to reader deliver the said L’res of Admon (approbation of such testa’mt Being first said and made) if the said Court then this obli’on to be void or else to remaine in full force virtue
