On Thursday the 11th inst at Alford, Mr DAUBNEY, Druggist to Miss WILES of the same place. On Tuesday se'nnight Mr Wm.HUMSTONE to Miss Jemima WALKER both of Candlesby. On the 8th inst. at St George's Church, Hanover Square, London, Mr Francis ROE of Worksop to Miss Eliza BARKER? neice to Mrs SIMPSON of Hatfield near Doncaster. Committed to Lincoln Castle, (by T.GOULTON, Esq) John CAMM and John ATKINSON, both late of Scunthorpe, labourers on a charge of entering the rabbit-warren of William HOBSON, of Appleby, with two lurcher dogs, and killing a rabbit his property. Two inquests were held last week in this city upon the bodies of children who had been burnt to death. The name of one was DIXON: that of the other KIRK. "Accidental death" was the verdict in each instance. An Inquest was held at Gainsboro, on Friday the 12th, in a similar afflicting case. The child was a son of Mr.ESBERGER, about four years old, and had lingered from the 2d to the 11th inst - Verdict as in the before-mentioned cases. 19th Feb 1819 - Stamford On Tuesday last an inquest was held at the Globe Inn in Sleaford by Mr White, Coroner, on the body of Henry SCOFFIN (Servant to Mr MAWER, of Temple Brewer) who was accidentally killed by a waggon running over his body on the preceding Saturday; he survived the accident about fourteen hours, in the most excruciating pain. On Friday last an inquest was held by c.MASTIN, Gent of Boston, coroner, on the body of a new born bastard child, which was found dead in bed with the mother a short time after her delivery: after hearing the evidence of the midwife, and several women who were neighbours, the jury agreed to the following verdict:- "That the said newborn child died in the course of labor, for want of proper assistance, originating in the culpable conduct of Sarah MOTTERAM, the mother, in concealing her pregnancy." - And on Sunday the same coroner held an inquest at Stickford, on the body of Martha MARSH aged 16 who took a large quantity of sublimate of mercury, mixed in malt liquor, on the 6th instant, and languished in great agony till the 12th. Two men and a number of women deposed that the deceased showed symptoms of a disordered mind for some time previous to her committing the fatal act; and the jury returned a verdict, "that the said Martha MARCH poisened herself, not being of sound mind, memory and understanding." DIED On Friday morning the 12th instant, in St Georges Stamford, after a lingering illness, aged 58, Mrs Mary BOWMAN, relict of the late Mr Thos.BOWMAN, surgeon in his Majesty's Navy. Her loss will be regretted by a numerous circle of friends, to whom her affability of manners very closely endeared her: and by the poor, to whom she was ever benevolently disposed. Lately, Mrs MATTHEW, wife of the Rev.G.Matthew, Vicar of Greenwich, late Vicar of Anwick, in this county. On Tuesday last, aged 69, Mr MAGNUS, of Boston. On Tuesday the 11th, in Skirbeck, of Boston, a rapid decline, Miss WILTON of Leicester. On Friday the 12th aged 51, Mr Wm PARR, Butcher of Sutterton Fen near Boston. At Crowland, last week aged 46, Mr Rd.WORTLEY, Butcher of that place, third son of Mr William WORTLEY for many years a very respectable farmer at Market Overton, Rutland. Last week at her brothers house in Deeping Fen aged about 38, Miss BIRD. Her remains were interred on Monday last at Moulton. On the 7th inst.at Moulton near Spalding, Mrs A.Wright aged 66. On the 9th inst at Whaplode, Mr Benj. MAWFORD aged 60. On the 11th inst at Moulton Chapel, Mrs KING advanced in years. At Grantham on Sunday last, Sarah the wife of W.SENESCALL, of that place, Labourer. On the preceding Sunday evening the above poor woman was delivered of a boy, and on the following morning of two girls, the three children are all likely to do well. Lately at the same place Mrs Sarah SHARPIN, confectioner and pastry cook, advanced in years. Lately at Manthorpe, near Grantham, very suddenly Mrs CLARKE, wife of Mr CLARKE of that place, wheelwright, advanced in years. At Sleaford on Monday last, universally respected, John OTTER aged 23, servant to the Rev. F.GUNNIS. On Friday last, aged 47 Mrs QUICK sister to Mr PERCIVAL of Wansford. At Huntingdon on the 10th inst Mrs GIBBS, relict of the late Mr George GIBBS, sacristan of Peterborough Minster aged 64. Same day Mr Stephen BRACKEN many years chief constable of the soke and liberty of Peterborough. On the 4th inst suddenly, while in the act of dressing, Mr T.TURLAND, farmer of Bugbrook, Northamptonshire, much regretted. Died On Saturday morning last, at his house Above-hill, aged 46, William Hurd ROBINSON, Esq., an eminent solicitor of this city, second son of George ROBINSON Esq, formerly of Hanthorpe near Bourn in this county. He had the misfortune to break one of his legs whilst hunting last season, and the consequent confinement brought on a paralytic affection, from which, however, he was so far recovered as to pass the greater part of Friday amusing himself in his greenhouse: at night he was visited by a second paralytic attack, which caused his death the following morning. At her house in Eastgate, Lincoln, on Tuesday the 21st inst., Bridget relict of the Rev. R.P.HURTON B.D. formerly Rector of Doddington near this city and Domestic Chaplain to the late Lord Delaval. She was inb her 90th year and the oldest surviving native of Newark (at which place her remains will be interred) having been born in the house now occupied by her grandson, the Rev.Mr SIKES. On Monday last, Maria only daughter of Mr Joseph COWELL, late of the Lincoln Theatre (now of the Adelphi Theatre, London) aged 4yrs and 9months. On Tuesday se'nnight, Mrs SMITH, wife of Mr SMITH, joiner, at the foot of the hill in this city aged 39. On Wednesday, Robert GRABY, of this city, a well known character by the name of "Thirty" 23rd Dec 1819 On Monday last an inquest was held at Binbrook, near Caistor, by Marmaduke DIXON, Esq.Coroner, on the body of Elizabeth BETTS, a servant in the family of Mr.WHITWORTH, farmer, of that village. She died the day before, whilst sitting at dinner. The jury after a very short deliberation, returned a verdict of " died by the visitation of God in a natural way." At Kirton Fair, on Saturday the 11th instant, Joseph WEST, of Beelsby, near Caistor, sold a brown mare to a person who was an entire stranger, and received for her notes of a broken Pontefract Bank, Seatons & Co, which has long stopped, and did not find out the cheat till it was too late. Committed to the house of correction at Louth on Monday, by the Magistrates acting at Spilsby, John WALKER, of Boston East, charged with feloniously stealing three live pigs, the property of Mr. John UFTON, victualler of Sibsey - Two other notorious persons were concerned in the robbery, but are not at present apprehended. Lincoln 23rd Dec 1819 Died On Thursday the 16th inst. at Rothwell, near Caistor, much esteemed and lamented, William SKIPWORTH, Esq aged 41. He was a kind husband, an indulgent father, a good master, charitable to the poor, and of particularly domestic habits. He departed this life with the humble resignation which distinguishes a sincere Christian, believing in the atonement of a blessed Redeemer. He has left a Widow and six small children, to lament the loss of such a protector as we have described. On Thursday the 16th inst.at Caistor, in the 78th year of his age, Mr John WILLERTON, for many years a joiner at that place, respected as an honest and industrious man. On Tuesday last, at Ashby, near Spilsby, aged 73, Mrs MARTIN, wife of Mr WM. MARTIN, farmer - It is singular that her first husband's name was Wm. MARTIN also, and he was no relation to the surviving one. On Monday morning, at Trusthorpe, near Alford, highly esteemed, the Rev. Thomas EDMAN, for upwards of 20years a Minister in the Wesleyan Methodist connexion, and one of the preachers in the Alford circuit. He was unable through indisposition to perform his duty on Sunday evening, and retired unwell to bed: in the morning, his spirit had taken its happy flight to that rest which remaineth for the people of God. A few days ago at Horncastle, Mrs LILLEY, widow. On Friday last at Horncastle, in a decline, Miss Susan ELLMORE aged 21. On Monday the 13th, at Thimbleby near Horncastle, aged 75, Mrs KEMP, wife of Mr. Robt. KEMP, farmer and grazier, of that place, a very charitable woman. A few days ago, far advanced in years, Mr BARNES, Officer in the Excise at Gainsborough. On Tuesday last, at Gainsboro' in the 82d year of her age, Mrs CLAYTON, wife of Mr. CLAYTON of Gainsboro' A few days ago at Gainsborough, in the 41st year of her age, Mrs AUDUS, wife of Mr. AUDUS, blockmaker. On Wednesday the 15th at Haxey, near Gainsboro' in her 87th year, Mrs BROOMHEAD, wife of Mr.BROOMHEAD, butcher and grocer. Lately at Alvingham aged 60, Mr.J.DRING, farmer. On Wednesday the 15th aged 30, Mr Laurence LACY, surgeon on board his Majesty's cutter The Swan. His remains were interred at Grimsby on Saturday. On Monday the 20th inst., at Southwell aged 27, Ann wife of Mr.W.SMITH, of The Crown Inn. At Great Gonerby near Grantham, on Saturday last, Miss Elizabeth TREADGOLD, second sister of Mr Thomas TREADGOLD, of that place, farmer. Miss T's death proceeded from a cold, which she took about a fortnight preceding: previously she possessed and showed a remarkable degree of good health. On monday last, Miss Ann WARD, a maiden lady, of Market Overton, Rutland, after a long and painful illness, which she bore with pious fortitude. On Monday the 13th inst at Kettleby, near Melton Mowbray, of a decline, Mr T. CROSS, in the prime of life.
