Salmonby
Salmonby is both a village and a parish in the Wold hills, 5.5 miles north-east of Horncastle, 10 miles south of Louth and 8 miles north-west of Spilsby. Tetford parish lies to the north-east and Somersby parish to the south. The parish covers only about 1,000 acres.
Salmonby village is a small place in a low valley. The village is just a short walk south from Tetford. If you are planning a visit:

- The Anglican parish church is dedicated to Saint Margaret.
- The church was completely restored and partially rebuilt in 1871.
- The church seated 100.
- The church was declared redundant in 1973 and in 1975 the building was demolished, but the churchyard was retained.
- The Anglican parish register dates from the year 1558.

- The parish was in the ancient Hill Wapentake (Hill Hundred) in the East Lindsey district in the parts of Lindsey.
- In Kelly's 1900 Directory of Lincolnshire, the parish is given, perhaps erroneously, as being in the South Lindsey district of the county.
